Europe’s largest creative jury met in Hamburg. Divided into 29 specialist juries, 435 jurors assessed submissions with more than 10,000 components.

As in previous years, Atolls co-founder Axel Eckstein and his colleagues on the “Spatial Experience” jury searched for the best spatial productions published in the past year.

In the end, creative prizes were awarded for projects as diverse as trade fair concepts, retail spaces and events or for media used in a completely new way. The winning works were not only convincing in terms of aesthetics and craftsmanship, but each also had a strong basic idea.

The level of discussion in the jury was as excellent as the submissions. After the pandemic-induced slump, Germany’s specialists for spatial communication are now more than living up to their worldwide reputation again. And the up-and-coming students, honoured in the separate Talent Award, showed a brilliance that is simply breathtaking.
